Group Therapy

Meeting in a group with people who are dealing with similar problems as you can be very rewarding and beneficial. Having support, people to hold you accountable, and celebrate your successes provide a new perspective and clarity on how to move forward.

We have a first episode group that meets on a weekly basis for one hour per week. The focus is on psychoeducation, social skills, life skills, and peer support. The goal is to help participants understand their illness, prevent relapse, discuss concerns and issues, give and receive support, and develop skills to facilitate job and career exploration.

Group confidentiality is extremely important and emphasized as trust is crucial to having a supportive environment in which people feel comfortable in sharing.

Group is on a voluntary basis, however we do encourage people to attend weekly to gain the maximum benefit that group offers.
